সমস্যাটা কোথায়
বাংলায় আমরা বলি:
- "আমি কাজ করি।" (অভ্যাস)
- "আমি এখন কাজ করছি।" (এই মুহূর্তে)
দুটোই বাংলায় 'করি/করছি' দিয়ে বোঝানো যায়। কিন্তু ইংরেজিতে এই দুটো আলাদা:
- "I work." — অভ্যাস
- "I am working." — এখন করছি
এই পার্থক্যটা না বুঝলে ইংরেজিতে বড় ভুল হয়।
Present Simple — অভ্যাস ও স্থায়ী সত্য
কখন ব্যবহার করবেন
১. প্রতিদিনের রুটিন ও অভ্যাস:
"I wake up at 6 every morning." "She drinks tea after lunch." "They go to the mosque on Fridays."
২. স্থায়ী তথ্য:
"I live in Chittagong." "He works at a bank." "Water boils at 100 degrees."
৩. সময়সূচি (ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা):
"The class starts at 9 tomorrow." "The train leaves at 7."

every day, always, usually, often, sometimes, never, on Sundays — এই শব্দগুলো দেখলে সাধারণত Present Simple।
Present Continuous — এই মুহূর্তে যা হচ্ছে
কখন ব্যবহার করবেন
১. এখন ঠিক এই মুহূর্তে:
"She is talking on the phone right now." "I am studying for my exam." "It is raining outside."
২. সাময়িক পরিস্থিতি (সবসময় নয়, এখন):
"I am staying with my cousin this week." "He is working from home temporarily."
৩. নিশ্চিত ভবিষ্যৎ পরিকল্পনা:
"We are meeting the client tomorrow." "I am flying to Dhaka on Sunday."

মনে রাখার টিপস
now, right now, at the moment, today, this week, currently — এই শব্দগুলো দেখলে সাধারণত Present Continuous।

Continuous-এ যায় না এমন ক্রিয়া
এই ক্রিয়াগুলো সাধারণত Continuous form-এ ব্যবহার হয় না:
অনুভূতি ও মানসিক অবস্থা: know, believe, understand, remember, forget, mean
পছন্দ-অপছন্দ: like, love, hate, want, need, prefer
মালিকানা ও অস্তিত্ব: have (possession), own, belong, seem, appear
❌ "I am knowing the answer." ✅ "I know the answer."
❌ "She is wanting to go home." ✅ "She wants to go home."
